Citizens of all ages...

After reading and viewing this project,I believe that this particular group of students proved not only to themselves but to many that no matter what age, race,or creed anyone CAN make a difference. They saw a need, constructed a plan, and followed through with it. As a result, they acheived their goal. Overall, this project and achievement was a great one for anyone. I believe these kids are deserving of whatever reward they may receive, not only for their accomplishments but for their dedication and courage.

Mr.Right

If I had the chance to create a "perfect candidate" they would be strong, educated, and most of all for the people. His viewpoint would be more so on the liberal side, but also holding a few standpoints on the conservative side. He would stand for whats right, be committed to serve the people, and be prepared for any situation he and his team may face. My candidate wouldn't show any biased views toward any one side, but rather be open minded and rational to make the best decision for the people. On the personal side my candidate would be a family man, a God-fearing man, and one that men & women of all ages can look to for guidance & inspiration.

Liberal view...

What is your political ideology?
Your Result: Liberal

This quiz has categorised you as a Liberal. You believe in the role of the government to fight poverty, both by means of welfare programs, and economic regulation. You are defined as a progressive in the US, but you are generally favouring of the retention of the current social paradigm.

(Sounds about right to me!)

Alone time...

I think that the idea of this rule is right because it shows respect toward/between the roomates. However, the enforcement of the rule as a law somewhat violates the students freedom of expression. Nevertheless, the roomates should have an established standard set between each other that respects both their privacy and space. This should not be the responsibility of the university but that of the students. I believe the staff of tuft university intentions were good however, the enforcement of the rule may vary between each student.

Life or death?

I believe that the death penalty is in fact morally wrong. In essence its really saying u kill and u get killed, but is this really right? Of course their crime comitted was harsh, immoral, and maybe without remorse, but does this make it right for man to determine their fate? If i were to answer these questions i would say no, a wrong and a wrong doesn't make a right. I also believe that life and death should lie in the hands of God and not that of man. However, there are other forms of punishment, such as life in prison, that could be just as effective without that level of cruelty involved.

Kanye said what...?

I too agree with what president carter said about racism and it still being evident today. Alot of negative things said about president obama has not been only because of political differences, but in some instances the racial differences. Even on this past week, Kanye expressed himself on the vma's. Im not saying he was completely wrong or right, but he simply used his first ammendment rights (the freedom of speech) to show how he felt about Taylor Swift winning award. Unfortunately, the media blew it way out of proportion and completely favored the side of taylor.

Obama's speech to students!

On today, President Obama delivered a speech directed to all students! His main purpose of this speech was to basically encourage students to stay in school, and stress the importance of education. What I personnally got from the speech was the fact that each student has their own responsibility. In otherwords, no matter how much the teachers/parents push, it is all useless unless the student holds up their end of the bargain. However, the time is still soon to determine if the speech changed students view on education, but the message was reached and many were indeed encouraged.
